The new capacity investment of Coca-Cola İçecek’s Baku Factory was inaugurated by Minister Kürsad Tüzmen
29.05.2008Operating since 1996 in Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku, Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers (ACCB) Baku Factory, a 100% subsidiary of Coca-Cola İçecek, decided to invest in expanding its facilities to provide for the ever growing market demand.
The ribbon ceremony led by Minister Kürsad Tüzmen, was attented by deputies who have participated in the Turkish-Azeri Business Forum along with Turkish Ambassador to Baku Hulusi Kiliç and other senior government officials. Coca-Cola İçecek Corporate Affairs Director Atilla Yerlikaya said that CCI operates 20 production plants in 10 countries across Türkiye, Pakistan, Central Asia and the Middle East, reaching a population of 330 million. CCI is today one of the strongest and most respected bottlers in the Coca-Cola System worldwide. Coca-Cola Azerbaijan General Manager Oguz Aldemir stated “We are one of the largest investors outside of the oil sector. We increase our investment to reflect the expanding Azerbaijan economy and growing market demand. We are very happy that on the occasion of Minister Tüzmen’s visit and factory’s 12th anniversary, this new logistic and production investment start operations. We continue to give great focus to developing our sector and industry in terms of recruitment, social and economic contributions along with addressing environmental issues. ACCB was awarded in 2008 ISO 14001 certification for the first time. ISO 14001 certification recognizes our already high standards but we will strive to improve on those standards and be among the highest quality producers in the in the Coca-Cola System worldwide.”
