Waste Collection Projects
Waste Net Project
In Kyrgyzstan, a sustainable "waste network" for the collection and recycling of waste, including plastic waste, was established in cooperation with 100 organizations and 100 recycling companies. The cumulative amount of grants distributed was USD 47,000, with 9 companies receiving USD 34,000 in support. In tandem, a collaboration was also established with shopping mall food courts and HORECA. In 2023, 5 pilot areas of HORECA will be added and supported as part of waste recycling activities.
Youth Empowerment Projects
3.2.1. Start! Project
The 3.2.1 Start! project, which aims to support youth-led solutions for a sustainable future. The project is aimed towards supporting the youth of the country with the necessary tools to shape a better tomorrow. The main message of the project is “Make Your Contribution” to your country, community, and environment. The priority direction of the initiatives is related to Sustainable Development Goals, with the focus being CCI’s 2030 Sustainability Commitments. The objectives of the project program are to identify the most feasible sustainability agenda for the youth of Kyrgyzstan, equip the youth with necessary knowledge and help them to build capabilities to run their initiatives while providing financial support financial support to the most promising projects and facilitate their implementation. In the seventh season of the program, 10 semi-finalists participated, and 4 finalists received grants to support their projects In CCI Kyrgyzstan, 180 participants took part in the program and the 5 best social projects were awarded grants in 2022; Bishkek and Chuy region were covered. In 2023 the whole country was covered and among 140 teams the best 6 startups were selected to receive support. 80% of the funded projects are sustainably operating and alumnus of 3.2.1. Start! continue to grow and develop further to the next level.

Activity Volunteers
Reforestation Projects
500 saplings were planted by CCI Kyrgyzstan, for a greener planet. CCI Kyrgyzstan volunteers also joined forces with the Manas University and planted around 150 saplings.
World Environment Day 2023
A coastal cleaning activity in collaboration with the local government, NGOs and UN agencies was also arranged to preserve the Lake Issyk-Kul. Around 600 kg of plastic waste, close to 400 kg of glass were collected and sorted, then handed over for recycling to the authorities. Furthermore, around 1,500 kg of no recyclable waste was collected.
