Coca-Cola İçecek Expands Its Investments in Central Asia

11.11.2025

Operating with 36 bottling plants and 3 fruit processing facilities across 12 countries, Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) has signed a framework agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan to construct its fourth bottling plant in the country, following its existing plants in Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent. In line with its principle of investing ahead of demand, CCI continues its growth in Central Asia and plans to begin construction of the new plant in 2026.

6 November 2025, Istanbul – As part of Türkiye’s Anadolu Group, Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) continues to pursue its long-term growth and sustainable development vision in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Following the commissioning of its third plant in Shymkent, Kazakhstan in 2024, CCI has signed a framework agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan to establish its fourth bottling plant in the city of Aktobe.

Construction of the new plant in Aktobe is scheduled to begin in 2026. Once operational, it is expected to provide direct employment to over 120 people and indirect employment to hundreds more in the region. The plant will utilize environmentally friendly technologies and an internationally compliant waste management system, contributing to
Kazakhstan’s sustainable industrial ecosystem.

Karim Yahi, CEO of Coca-Cola İçecek, expressed pride in signing the framework agreement for the fourth plant within just a year of opening the third one in Shymkent. Emphasizing that the new investment will further reinforce the company’s strategic position in Central Asia, he stated: “With the Shymkent plant, our total investments in Kazakhstan reached 500 million USD last year. With its young and dynamic population, growing economy, and regional role, Kazakhstan continues to be a very important market for us. The new plant in Aktobe is a concrete reflection of CCI’s commitment to regional growth and our confidence in Kazakhstan.”

CCI’s socio-economic contributions and transparent operations in Kazakhstan have been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the Best Taxpayer Award, the Paryz Presidential Award, the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR) Award, and the State Award for Social Responsibility.
