Coca-Cola İçecek breaks ground on its new plant in Aktobe, Kazakhstan

22.06.2026

19 June 2026, Istanbul – Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI), part of Türkiye’s Anadolu Group, has entered a new phase in its investment in Aktobe, Kazakhstan, advancing its long-term growth vision in Central Asia. At the groundbreaking ceremony for the Aktobe plant—CCI’s fourth bottling plant in Kazakhstan—speeches were delivered by Abzal Abdikarimov, Deputy Akim (Deputy Governor) of the Aktobe Region; Arman Khassenov, Deputy Chairman of the Investment Protection Committee; and Veli Dinçel, General Manager of CCI Kazakhstan.

Following the signing of a cooperation protocol at last month’s Kazakhstan–Turkey Business Forum, the project has now moved into the implementation phase with the start of construction works. Once operational, the facility will create new jobs for local residents while adhering to international environmental standards and incorporating advanced waste management systems.

Veli Dinçel, General Manager of Coca-Cola İçecek Kazakhstan, stated in his speech: “We continue to contribute to regional development by steadily advancing our investments in Kazakhstan. We currently provide direct employment to more than 1,300 people while supporting a total of 15,000 jobs across various sectors. With the addition of our fourth plant in Aktobe, following Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent, our total investment in Kazakhstan exceeds USD 550 million. We will continue to expand our production capacity in Central Asia and create long-term value in the markets where we operate.”

As Coca-Cola İçecek’s investments in Kazakhstan continue to grow, the company’s contributions to the national economy have also been recognized with a Presidential award. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, recently presented a letter of appreciation to Coca-Cola İçecek Kazakhstan for its contributions to the socioeconomic development of the Almaty Region and for strengthening the investment environment.
