CCI Awarded for Its Contribution to Azerbaijan’s Economy

While Rena Mammadova, General Manager of CCI Azerbaijan, was awarded one of the country’s most prestigious state decorations, the “Taraggi” (Progress) Medal, the company also ranked among the top 10 taxpayers in the “non-oil and non-government” category in Azerbaijan.
May 13, 2026, Istanbul – As Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) continues to expand its operations in Azerbaijan, it stands out with the value it creates in production, employment, and social impact. Guided by its principle of investing ahead of demand, CCI commissioned its second plant in Azerbaijan in Ismayilli last year, bringing its total investment in the country to USD 200 million. Through its impact, CCI has further strengthened its position as one of Azerbaijan’s most trusted and strategic stakeholders.
“Taraggi” (Progress) Medal from President Aliyev
Rena Mammadova, General Manager of CCI Azerbaijan, has been awarded the “Taraggi” (Progress) Medal by presidential decree, as announced by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. This prestigious state decoration, granted to individuals who contribute to the country’s socio-economic development and industrial advancement, stands as a testament to the company’s long-term investments and strategic approach in Azerbaijan.
CCI Azerbaijan has also achieved another important milestone, reflecting its strong performance in compliance with local regulations, transparency, and its contribution to the national economy. The company ranked 27th among Azerbaijan’s top 100 taxpayers and stood out by placing among the top 10 in the “non-oil private sector” category.
CCI Continues to Invest in Environmental and Social Impact
In addition to its positive impact on national economy, CCI Azerbaijan continues to invest in initiatives centered on environmental and social impact. Over the past 10 years, the company has invested more than USD 3 million in areas such as sports, youth entrepreneurship, women’s economic participation, access to water, and environmental protection.
Through its water stewardship projects, CCI contributes to the preservation of resources, particularly in water-stressed regions. As of 2025, efforts have been initiated under the target of replenishing 100% of the water used in operations back to nature by 2030 through water replenishment projects. In 2025 alone, approximately 100 million liters of water were returned to natureThe waste recovery rate at its facilities has reached 100%, while more than 5 tons of waste have been collected along the Caspian coast over the past decade.
Positioning women’s empowerment as a long-term priority, CCI Azerbaijan has reached more than 5,000 women since 2014. The company continues its efforts in this area through scholarship and internship programs for women engineers, as well as equal pay practices.
