Organizational Change at Coca-Cola İçecek
CCI today announced an organization change as the company expands its geographic reach and as execution in the market place takes on a new importance,
Effective from January 1, 2010, CCI Turkey Region President Hüseyin Akın has been appointed to the position of the President of CCI International Operations and CCI CFO Burak Başarır has been promoted to the position of President of CCI Turkey Region.
CCI CEO Michael O’Neill commented: “Hüseyin Akın has made our Turkey region an important vehicle of CCI's success and brings with him an international experience and proven leadership to CCI International Operations. Burak Başarır who has been recognized as the best CFO by Reuters Excel Survey is among the architects of many CCI milestones. These appointments lay the foundation for the continued success of CCI over the years to come. Nusret Orhun Köstem has been appointed to the CFO position of CCI. Köstem was previously Corporate Finance Coordinator at Anadolu Endüstri Holding A.Ş. Prior, he was the Finance Director of Efes Breweries International (EBI). Orhun was also at the center of many milestone transactions during his tenure with Anadolu Efes, including the IPOs of both CCI and EBI. He was named among the Top 20 Investor Relations Executives among the Pan-European peer group in 2007.

Hüseyin Akın
Hüseyin Akın holds a BSc in electrical engineering and computer science from Princeton University and an MBA in marketing, finance and international business from the University of Chicago.
He joined The Coca-Cola System in 1989 and worked at different positions such as Marketing Manager of Caucasus and Central Asian Republics and Commerical Director. Akın was the President of CCI Turkey Region since 2007. Prior to joining The Coca-Cola System, he worked for Procter & Gamble as a brand manager and for Madra-Akın Edible Oil and Soap Company as Regional Sales Manager and later as Finance Director.
Burak Başarır
Appointed as CCI's CFO since January 2005, Burak Başarır holds an AA in business administration and a minor in computer sciences from American River College. He studied management at California State University of Sacramento between 1990 and 1992 and received a BSc degree in business administration from Middle East Technical University in 1995.
Since joining CCI in 1998, he has worked as Budget and Planning Supervisor, Middle Anatolia Sales Center Finance Manager, Mersin Sales Center Manager and Ankara Sales Center Manager. Prior to working at CCI, Başarır served as Senior Auditor for Arthur Andersen.
Nusret Orhun Köstem
Nusret Orhun Köstem holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and MBA from Middle East Technical University and MA in Economics Law from Bilgi University. Orhun was previously Corporate Finance Coordinator at Anadolu Endüstri Holding A.Ş. Prior, he was the Finance Director of Efes Breweries International.
