The new capacity investment of Coca-Cola Icecek’s Baku Factory was inaugurated by Minister Kürşad Tüzmen
Operating since 1996 in Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku, Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers (ACCB) Baku Factory, a 100% subsidiary of Coca-Cola İcecek, decided to invest in expanding its facilities to provide for the ever growing market demand. The ribbon ceremony led by Minister Kürşad Tüzmen, was attented by deputies who have participated in the Turkish-Azeri Business Forum along with Turkish Ambassador to Baku Hulusi Kılıç and other senior government officials.

Coca-Cola Icecek announced a 17% increase in net sales in the first nine months
Coca-Cola Icecek CEO Michael A. O'Neill, in his assessment of the first nine month period of 2008, commented on the following: despite increasingly toughening economic circumstances, sales volumes have been quite impressive, with a 10% increase have reached 428 million unit cases and net sales with an increase of 17% have reached 1.828 million YTL. He further commented that the sales volume of Turkey operations, exhibiting good performance, have increased by 10%.
